Look Left, Look right, and add a knob of butter.

I had a super productive day today.  Set out at around 10 30 or 11 to find A) a phone B) a adaptor for my comp and flat iron C) a gym and D) a long list of crap previously which i previous referred to.  And before one or two, I had all of them done.  Other than minor distractions such as the gym salesman telling me 'he could listen to my accent all day', and making me pronounce Massachusetts about four times.  Alot of walking by myself and getting a little lost happened.  The whole crossing streets things makes me a little nervous, but thankfully there are 'look left' and 'look right' reminders at every crosswalk.  I got a pretty cute lil white vodafone for about 20 pounds with my 10 pound top of included.  Its a real good deal; we asked the salesman why we dont have deals like this in the states, and he said "it's alright, you're in the free world now"

So here we are in the free world.....we had a housing meeting at 6, and Caitlyn and I ran to the grocery store to get some food to cook, and some bacardi and coke zero to drink!!  Cooking directions aren't the most precise here, with instructions on tortellini such as, 'add a knob of butter'.  What's a knob?  We looked it up, and its pretty much as big as you want it to be.  Awesome.

I like it here I think.  Tomorrow we have orientation at Birkbeck 9-11 and then The London Eye at 3.30 I think.  Friday I have my interview at parliament at noon, my supervisor told me I didnt have to dress too fancy, as the MPs are out on holiday until monday.  So I dont have to stress about my first legit Parliament outfit until sunday night......

The bank situation here (so that we can deposit and use our stipend checks/cheques [hehe]) is getting a bit messy; but I dont feel like writing about it really.
